Overall, I was very impressed with the quality and capabilities of the machine...
We took some of its listed operational limits and had no problems or unstability. We verified the claim that it can cut trail at 1000' an hour. That was in a section of almost no rocks. Rocks would slow down the process, however we punched through 100' of friable bedrock on a 40 degree slope in about an hour. The six way adjustable blade would just need a purchase point and lifting the blade would break off another section. This obviously wouldn't work in harder rock like granite. It did dislodge and move large boulders up to about 600 pounds with ease. We actuallty didn't run into anything it couldn't move, thanks to the 44 hp turbo diesel at 4,100 lb weight.
The tilt and angle functions of the blade made for easy cross slope adjustments (insloping and outsloping) and actually some pretty dececent rough cut berms. Thanks to the pretty significant blade angle possible. I also used it to rehab some of the social routes with excellent results. It is 30" wide but I found that by cutting partial bench and putting the outside tracks on the spoils, you could end up with a 24" full bench trail. On steeper side slopes you have to go full bench.
